Living in Denver, we have Waterton Canyon less than half an hour away. It is an impressive and large canyon carved by the South Platte River. While I may know nothing about geology, I find the rocky canyon walls ruggedly beautiful. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the canyon because a herd of Bighorn sheep hangs out there.
