I don’t keep the links on the “Links” page as up to date as I should. I ran through them and was sad to see that more than a few have been dormant for a couple of years. Here is the roll call for the dearly departed . . .

There is a sort of pressure to keep it going and I understand that one may just be done with it. I hope all is well with them!
On the bright side, there are some new players out there. One superb site is this one . . . The Project Upland. This site has it all! Articles, pod casts, videos and even their own magazine (which I have subscribed to). There is a ton of quality content, so much so I hope they can keep it up. This effort is part of Northwood Collective, an “outdoor creative agency”, so this is much more than some moron randomly posting crap on the internet . . . . you know . . . like the Birdhunter. You should check it out.

I’ve got to imagine that keeping a Blog updated isn’t always an easy thing to do. You do need something to write about! In many areas the bird numbers have plummeted and I’ll bet quite a few hunters have called it a day.
I was going to start a Blog (still might, someday), but since the quality of both my camera and “eye” appeal of things to photograph isn’t quite up to par, all I’d have to offer up would be pics of dogs on point.

Thanks! I am glad I am still here as well. Keeping up a blog should be fun. Sometimes months go by when I have nothing to post, so I don’t. I really do this for myself and for my friends. Putting something together that has some level of decent quality is satisfying. I am an accountant by trade, so this is a nice outlet for my small amount of creativity. When others compliment my efforts it feels good, but remember no one else really cares about what you are doing on your blog. It is therapy for yourself. I think drudgery comes into play when you are focused on the number of posts, followers, hits, etc.
You should give it a try!
My only real foray into social media is posting crappy videos on youtube. Maybe it’s a subconsciouis way of permanently recording that yes, the dogs – birds – big country and myself did exist at one time! I do enjoy killing a little time now and then by checking out the Blogs on the interwebs.
