What a difference a year makes . . . .
Our annual North Dakota pheasant hunt last year, sub-zero temps and blowing snow. Not so fun!
This year was sipping beer in short sleeved shirts! Much more fun!!
Our good boy, Tex
With the nice weather, the birds were not bunched up in shelter belts and were pretty evenly spread over the country. This made for nice full day hunts to get our limit of birds.
Healthy birds.
North Dakota rooster.
A classic Winchester Model 12 in 16 gauge takes to the field.
Tease that dog!

No hunting or trespassing. Peder with his beloved Inka.
Nice retrieve.
Hunting by the pheasant sculptures on “the enchanted highway”.
On point in the grass. The hunting was mostly in CRP which was ideal for a lot of nice points.
Enjoying a beer in the ditch after the hunt.
Looks like a great hunt. Thanks for posting!
You are welcome! Thanks for visiting and merry Christmas.
Ah the “Enchanted Pheasant.” Very cool that you got to hunt next to it.
Yes, nice backdrop for pictures!
Been There isn’t Great!
Hi John, did you mean “Been There isn’t it great”?
Yep – Sorry for the mistake It is a great hunt!
Agreed! We do this hunt each year.
Hunted both North and South Dakota. I have hunted in T shirts one day and a front moves in your hunting in blowing snow the next.
